Driftwood Bay by Michael M. Michaelson MMM

2.5’ X 4.5’ Landscape Collage.
An ocean bay scene of blues, green and grays using a vibrant acrylic media painted onto a hardwood board. This scene is arrayed with unusual pieces of one of the kind driftwood pieces, personally chosen by the blind artist himself.
This work is as natural as you can get it. Real sand and tiny pieces of beach debris fill in the shore line creating a strong three dimensional collage of unique perception.
This eye catching landscape sets within a custom unique natural cedar frame, also hand made by Michael.
You can almost hear the ocean roar and smell the fresh beach breezes in this one.
This work was created by Michaelson the blind artist in the Fall of 2007 after a massive storm hit the Northwest coast.
He spent days wondering through the mountains of driftwood, feeling his way through great tunnels of wood and over massive piles of every sort of entangled nests of wood. It was a extremely dangerous thing for him to be doing but Michael must go where his feelings take him and his feelings of adventure can be certainly felt in this special one of the kind works.
A perfect eye catching piece that can only enhance ones space and enrich any environment.
